Louwtjie Kotzé is a qualified teacher in Remedial Education and Educational Guidance, who taught in various schools for 21 years. She is also a qualified marriage counsellor.

She started painting at the age of 50 (the age of New Beginnings!) while recuperating from a very long illness.

She is the daughter of the late Nana Steyn, an artist from the Strand, Western Cape. She paints in oils, has a passion for people (especially little ones) and is very determined to paint until she is 100 years old – at least!

Her motto in life is: Life’s too short for rubbish, so have a good day on purpose!
The reason why she is here on earth, is: To Nurture, to Create and to Teach.
